As one of the founding partners of Hutabarat Halim & Rekan, Nini Halim is graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Indonesia and she has attended various legal trainings in Indonesia as well as abroad. In 2002, Ms. Halim was a visiting Indonesian legal delegate of the International Legal Services Advisory Council, coordinated by the Australian Attorney Generals Office. In the same year, she has also participated in the Working Group on Legal Cooperation at the Inaugural Joint Meeting of Working Group on Legal Cooperation between Indonesia and Australia.
Her specialization in handling corporate, investment and mergers & acquisition transactions has led her to be acknowledged by the Asia Pacific Legal 500 as one of the leading individuals in Corporate/M&A in Indonesia. She has also been endorsed as one of the leading legal experts in the general corporate practice by the Asia Law & Practice. Her other specializations encompass: (i) insolvency & reorganization; (ii) labor & workplace relations; (iii) media & telecommunication; and (iv) Intellectual Property Rights.
Ms. Halim is a member of and a licensed advocate under the Indonesian Advocates Association. She is also a licensed capital market legal consultant, and currently sits in the Board of Management of the Indonesian Association of Capital Market Legal Consultants. Ms. Halim also holds an intellectual property rights consultant license, and is a registered member of the Association of Intellectual Property Rights Consultants. She is also a member of the Indonesian Infocom Society. In the international sphere, she is an active member of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and is currently serving as the Jurisdictional Council Member for Indonesia.
Ms. Halim has written and published various articles on Indonesia in the (i) International Financial Law Review – Client Guide to South East Asia (2007); (ii) Asia Law & Practice - Doing Business with Indonesia (2004); (iii) Global Competition Review – Merger Control (2002); and (iv) Clifford Chance Publication - Regional Overview of Directors & Officers Liability in Asia (2000). She has also been a speaker at the Joint Intellectual Property Conference in Kuala Lumpur (2003) where she delivers the topic of “Obtaining Trademark Internationally: Strategy Consideration”; and a speaker at the Inter-Pacific Bar Association Conference in Vancouver (2000) where she delivers the topic “Re-insurance - A Global Industry”. |
